The Importance of Approach and Intent
On this episode Ted and Barb talk to Joshua Hughes, a Division Safety Manager at Clark Construction Group LLC. Joshua was recently awarded the 2020 National Safety Council Rising Star of Safety Award. His career as a safety professional started after he got out of the Navy back in 2006 and found a job as a Rescue Technician in the shipyard. Joshua is humble and appreciates other people who had an impact on his success. According to Joshua, safety should be managed on a daily basis. His approach on the site is hearing people out, sharing his perspective and meeting in the middle, if possible.
